Hemorrhoids

hemorrhoid-picturesAnyone who has ever experienced hemorrhoids can attest to the long lasting pain and discomfort.   Over the years I have discovered a few things that work well and those that do not.  The best advice I can offer is to deal with it early.  Don’t wait for piles to form or the pain to drive you on for answers.  Deal with this issue at the first sign of discomfort.

Prevention is always the best medicine.  Constipation is the leading cause of Hemorrhoids.  Pushing hard matter out damages the tissue around the rectum.  Over time the elasticity of the skin is broken down allowing the vessels to float to the surface where the hard matter passing over them wrecks pain and havoc.  Do whatever it takes to keep your bowels soft and moving well.  The Lower Bowel Formula #1 is an Excellent Herbal Aid for backed up bowels.

Calcium

Another cause for Hemorrhoids is a poor food program.  Calcium is an important nutrient for healthy tissue.  Varicose veins as well as Hemorrhoids are intensified when the body is lacking a good usable source of Calcium.

Avoiding foods that leach calcium from the system is the first step in building up the body.  Stay away from all processed foods, especially sugar and white flour products.  Get outside into the sunshine whenever possible.  This is your best source of Vitamin D, and it’s free.  See the Calcium Information Sheet for more great tips.

BF&C Tincture & Salve for Hemorrhoids

One of the best herbal aids for strengthening tissue is the BF&C (Bone Flesh & Cartilage) formula.  This formula contains the nutrients that can knit the body back together.  Suggested dose: 1 teaspoon of the tincture taken in water or juice three times a day.  Apply the Salve to the affected area after bathing and following each movement.  I’ve seen great improvement within the first week.  This is not a quick fix but a healing which takes time.

Pain Suggestions:  The G-Nervine Salve is helpful at calming the fired up nerves following any movement.  Applying a finger full of the salve after each movement can calm the pain.

Try inserting a finger of “Red Potato” into the rectum to calm the pain.  This has proven very effective.

All about Using LBF #2

LBF #2 thumbnailThe solidifying effect the LBF #2 has on the bowel is the gift this formula brings to the medicine cabinet.  One teaspoon shaken in a glass of water puts an end to any episode of lose uncomfortable bowels regardless of the reason.  The effect is normally felt in two or three minutes.  It is hard to believe the formula can reach the bowel that quickly, even so, it will clear that upset crampy feeling in minutes.  When the bowels have turned to water a rounded tablespoon shaken in 12 ounces of water will normally solidify the bowel within one or two doses.  The LBF #2 is to be taken episodically, as needed to solidify a crampy, lose bowel.

Anyone living with Crohn’s disease or any inflammatory bowel condition will find healing answers inside this jar of herbs & clay.  The clay and charcoal provide gentle yet unsurpassed drawing power.  The LBF #2 pulls inflammation and infection from the bowel allowing the body to quickly heal this most important organ.   When beginning to heal these conditions most members discover their bowels are solid after only a day or two using the formula.

As part of the Bowel Cleansing program LBF #2 is considered a “bowel vacuum” as it draws the toxins from the bowel walls knocking out inflammation while solidifying the loose stool. Because of this LBF #2 is the best herbal remedy available for diarrhea & vomiting. It is also a healing gift for any of the inflamed bowel conditions. If your bowels are moving too much or too lose LBF #2 will provide quick relief.

What to do when you can’t decide whether to bend over or sit down.

Ok, so you got it really bad, you can’t decide whether to bend over (vomit) or sit down (diarrhea). Mix 1 rounded tablespoon of the LBF #2 in at least 12 ounces of water and drink all at once. Just gulp it down. Very likely it will come back up, that is ok. Keep it down as long as possible. When it does reappear it will be something like applesauce. While in your stomach it is absorbing the bacteria and acidity that is causing your stomach to vomit.

Once the poisons have been absorbed and are either passing out through normal channels or you vomit it back up the stomach can be settled easily with an ounce of ginger root juice or a strong cup of peppermint tea. A quick fix is a teaspoon of digestive Tonic in a warm cup of water. Don’t Sip, drink it all at once. This will allow the chemistry to settle your stomach.

Bad Breath & Body Odors

Body OdorFrom time to time I am asked what to do for body odor or bad breath.  I thought I would write a little on this today.

Bad Breath and Body odors can both be traced back to constipation.  Holding waste in the body will cause the body to begin to smell like the waste it is holding.  To clear body odor issues it is important to go straight to the cause by unplugging and cleaning out the sewer line so there will be no more backing up of sewage.

Use the LBF #1 to get the bowel moving well then add the LBF #2 for a week or two to “vacuum” the bowel.  The LBF #2 is considered a bowel vacuum as it draws toxins and waste from the bowel walls as it passes through the system.

During the process of clearing the bowels there are a few safe effective ways to sweeten the breath and control body order.  I have found Digestive Tonic great for sweeting the stomach which in turn refreshes the breath.  Use one teaspoon Digestive Tonic in a cup of hot or cold water.  This simple formula can be used whenever desired.

Underarm antiperspirants prevent the body’s natural removal of waste.  A natural deodorant which allows waste to be eliminated through the skin is safe and acceptable.  Check out your local health food store I’m sure they have a selection to choose from.

My First Bowel Cleansing

My introduction to Bowel Cleansing and the LBF #1′s was pretty normal. My bottle of Capsules arrived with detailed instructions from my friend who had introduced me to all things natural healing. As I unloaded the box I put all the items away one at a time. She had sent Superfood, the #2 formula, Echinacea extract and the LBF #1′s. I quickly started the Superfood and Echinacea but never touched the Bowel Cleansing products. Two weeks later when it was time to begin the liver cleanse I still had not taken my first #1 capsule. Why? I figured my bowels were doing just fine and the bowel cleanse was optional. Wrong!

I’d been walking around for years with a roll of poop setting right under my bust line. I looked five months pregnant. Of course I didn’t know that roll around my middle was a stuffed bowel.

Two weeks after receiving my package I was scheduled to fly to my friend’s clinic for a month’s stay. When I arrived she wisely started me on the bowel cleanse routine. Fourteen days into the program and my bowels were still not working well. The thirteen capsules I swallowed each night had started something moving but it was not enough to clear thirty eight years of constipation. My friend arrived in my room that evening with a castor oil pack. She placed it over my colon, covered it with a towel and said good night.

The next morning I could not believe how much poop was still in me after fourteen days of juice fasting and an enema in the morning and evening. Under my breast I had been carrying a roll for years, now half the roll was gone. That’s right; half my stomach was flat the other half looked five months pregnant. Another castor oil pack was placed over my colon again that night with similar results the next morning. My stomach was now flat. The roll I had assumed was fat all those years was my colon filled with poop.

Staying open and willing to be taught can be the hardest part of healing. All the answers do not lie within us, we must be willing to continue to learn and grow. As long as there is life there is learning to be done.

Candida Program

A little about Candida: Candida albicans is currently the most commonly isolated species, and can cause infections (candidiasis or thrush) in humans.  Antibiotics promote yeast infections, including gastrointestinal Candida overgrowth, and penetration of the GI mucosa. While women are more susceptible to genital yeast infections, men can also be infected. Certain factors, such as prolonged antibiotic use, increase the risk for both men and women.

Candida is an issue most of us deal with to some degree.  After spending nearly 15 years under medical care for bladder and Kidney Infections, which included extensive use of antibiotics, I was left with an extreme case of candida overgrowth.  The best results for me came when I used a combination of the following Natural Supports.

  • Klaire Labs – Ther-Biotic Complete Powder 2.1oz; 1 tsp. of the powder 3 times a day.
  • Echinacea: 1 ounce a day for 4 or 6 days each week. Detoxing with Echinacea
  • de-Lenolate 180 Caps; 3 capsules 2x a day or 2 capsules 3x a day.
ELF Party

Liver Flushing will be necessary at least once a month.  You can do an ELF as needed during the month but a full week of liver flushing at least once a month while doing an intense program is very important.

The Liver is the vacuum of the body.  All the die-off produced while clearing the candida will put a heavy load on the liver.  Supporting this process by flushing the liver once a month will allow you to clear your candida issue with far fewer symptoms or the detoxing backlash often accompanying a good candida program.

Effect of Gallstones on the Liver

digestive system organsOver the next few weeks I want to share some great information on how important flushing the liver is and how a backed up liver affects every system of the body.  The health of the body and quality of life depend to a large degree on how well the liver is functioning.

The liver acts as a filtering or cleansing device for the blood; it even deactivates a limited amount of hormones, alcohol, and medicinal drugs. Its task is to modify these biologically active substances so that they lose their potentially harmful effects–a process known as detoxification. Specialized cells in the liver’s blood vessels (Kupffer cells) mop up harmful elements and infectious organisms reaching the liver from the gut. The liver excretes the waste materials resulting from these actions via its bile duct network.

A healthy liver receives and filters 3 pints of blood per minute and produces 1 to 1.5 quarts of bile every day. This ensures that all the activities in the liver and in the rest of the body run smoothly and efficiently.  Obstructive gallstones in its bile ducts greatly undermine the liver’s ability to detoxify any externally supplied and internally generated harmful substances in the blood. These stones also prevent the liver from delivering the proper amounts of nutrients and energy to the right places in the body at the right time. This upsets the delicate balance in the body, known as homeostasis, thus leading to disruption of its systems and undue stress on its organs.

Effect of Gall Stones on the Liver

A clear example of such a disturbance is an increased concentration of the endocrine hormones estrogen and aldosterone in the blood. These hormones, produced in both men and women, are responsible for the correct amount of salt and water retention. When stones congest the gallbladder and the liver’s bile ducts, these hormones may not be broken down and detoxified sufficiently. Hence, their concentration in the blood rises to abnormal levels, causing tissue swelling and water retention. Most oncologists consider elevated estrogen levels to the leading cause of breast cancer among women. In men, high levels of this hormone can lead to excessive development of breast tissue and weight gain.

Obesity and Liver Congestion

Over 85% of the American population is overweight or obese. Men, women, and children in this condition suffer mainly from fluid retention (with relatively minor fat accumulation). The retained fluid helps trap and neutralize noxious substances that the liver can no longer effectively remove from the body.  This unsightly side effect, however, helps the overweight or obese person to prevent or even survive a major toxicity crisis that could otherwise lead to a heart attack, cancer, or massive infection.

The problem with prolonged fluid retention in the tissues, though, is that it causes these toxins and other harmful waste matter (metabolic waste and dead cell material) to accumulate in various parts of the body and further congest the pathways of circulation and elimination. Whenever in the body that storage capacity for toxins and waste is exceeded, symptoms of illness begin to show up. These symptoms merely indicate that the body is desperately trying to correct these imbalances and heal itself.

Stones inside the Liver: Intrahepatic gallstones

Gallstones in the liver, which John Hopkins University and some medical schools referred to as intrahepatic biliary gallstones or biliary stones, tend to cluster together and form large obstructions that can lead to dilation of bile ducts. Intrahepatic gallstones are composed of mostly cholesterol and other bile constituents.

What makes bile so important?

One of the liver’s most important functions is to produce bile, about 1 to 1.5 quarts (0.95 – 1.4 liters) per day. Liver bile is a viscous, yellow, brown, or green fluid that at a pH of 9.5 is highly alkaline and has a bitter taste. Without sufficient bile, hydrochloric acid entering the small intestine from the stomach can cause burns throughout the gastrointestinal tract. Also, ingested foods will remain undigested or only partially digested. For example, to enable the small intestine to digest and absorb fat and calcium from the food you eat, the food must first combine with bile.

Bile Needed for Calcium Absorption

When bile secretion is insufficient, fat is not absorbed properly. The undigested fat remains in the intestinal tract. When undigested fat reaches the colon along with other waste products, intestinal bacteria break down some of the fat into fatty acids or excrete it with the stool. Since fat is lighter than water, having fat in the stool may cause it to float. When fat is not absorbed, calcium is not absorbed either, leaving the blood in a deficit. The blood subsequently takes its extra calcium from the bones.

Most bone density problems (osteoporosis) actually arise from insufficient bile secretion and poor digestion of fats, rather than from not consuming enough calcium. Few medical practitioners are aware of this fact and, hence, merely prescribed calcium supplements to their patients without addressing the underlying reason for the calcium deficiency.

Bile Needed For Proper Digestion

Likewise, the body also requires fats to help digest and make use of proteins and carbohydrates. To digest these fats, the liver and gallbladder must release sufficient amounts of bile. Poor bile secretion leaves these foods largely undigested, which subjects them to decomposition by bacteria. Persistent abdominal gas, discomfort, and bloating are among the first indications to show that this important liver function has been seriously compromised.

Besides breaking down the fats in our food bile also removes toxins from the liver. The liver is the most important organ of detoxification, and the health of every cell depends on how efficiently it rid itself of these toxins.

The bile constituents, bilirubin and biliverdin, process significant antioxidant and anti-mutagenic properties. Higher concentrations of bile pigments in the body have been linked with reduced prevalence of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Bile: Natural Laxative

One of the lesser-known but extremely important functions of bile is to deacidify and cleanse the intestines. Bile serves as the body’s natural laxative. Constipation and sluggish bowel movements are the commonest consequences of impeded bile secretion.

When gallstones in the liver or gallbladder have critically obstructed bile flow, the color of the stool will be tan, orange-yellow, or pale as in clay, instead of the normal brown.

Gallstones are a direct product of an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. Even if someone has successfully dealt with all other causes of chronic illness, if gallstones are still present in the liver or gallbladder, recovery may be short-lived or impossible.

Gallstone’s detrimental effects

Gallstones pose a considerable health risk and may lead to illness and premature aging. Over the next few weeks our newsletter will carry a description of some of the detrimental effects of gallstones on the different organs and systems in the body. When these stones are removed the body as a whole can resume its normal, healthy activities.

Q&A: Are Herbal Laxatives, like Senna, addictive?

Jug Plant 2Member Question: I recommended #1 formula to a friend and she is concerned about the Senna in the product.  Can you explain to me why the product is not addictive because I get that concern a lot and I have not found it to be addictive?  I can pass it on to her.

Answer:

The Senna herb is not addictive in the sense of taking over a function produced or done by the body.  This is where addiction happens. You will become dependent on a substance such as laxatives which grease up or bulk up the waste in the bowel allowing it to be eliminated without the muscular action of the bowel working.   Over time this will destroy the muscle tone of the bowel since the bowel is not doing the work it was created to do.

The herbal bowel supports we use in our LBF #1’s, support bowel function.  When the chemistry in these herbs comes in contact with the bowel they cause it to contract more effectively.  This formula does not work on the content of the bowel but on the bowel structure itself.  Over time the muscle tone of the bowel will regain strength and the formula will not be needed.

This may take years because the bowel is not a muscle you can exercise at will.  The peristaltic waving motion of the bowel is initiated when food is chewed and swallowed.  Moving the meal you are consuming from your stomach to your small intestine.  Your previous meal is now moved from your small intestine to the colon and the final waste from the meal before that one should be eliminated within an hour or so.  (This is in a perfectly functioning body, I’ve not seen too many of these)

The herbal supports the Father has provided for clearing the septic back up from our body and healing the bowel work perfectly.  There are no withdrawal issues when the herbs are discontinued or backlash of any kind when used wisely.
